Damon: Because I care about her.
Stefan: You don’t just care. I know you feel something for her, Damon.
Damon: No you don’t.
Stefan: Fine, you keep on deny it, but listen to me, you can’t deny the undeniable. But the history won’t repeat again.
Damon: You know what Stefan? The history is repeating now, IT’S ALWAYS YOU. It was you for Katherine, it is you for Elena. It’s always gonna be you. So yes, if you really wanna know that, I love her Stefan, I do. But you got nothing to worry about because for her it’s always gonna be you.
Stefan: Have you told her what you feel?
Damon: Yes, I did.
Stefan: And what did she say?
Damon: Nothing. I compelled her and made her forget eveything, I don’t want her to know it.

Elena was hidden behind the door. She walked into the room and she looked at Damon.
Damon: Oh God.
Elena: You did what?
Damon: How long have you been heard?
Elena: I’ve been heard to listen enough.
